In Honor of Polaroid’s Return: Poladroid

poladroid birthday card

I printed the Poladroids, trimmed around the white frames and taped them to a tri-folded piece of shoebox cardboard for a homemade birthday card for Tobias Till.

After all the fuss people (and Urban Outfitters) made about Polaroid ceasing all production, they finally announced Polaroid products should be back on the shelf mid-2010.

In honor of this news, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite photo programs: Poladroid. It takes a regular digital photo and turns it into a polaroid-looking jpeg.

The photo image gets randomly re-hued and the frame looks realistic.  The program is a little Polaroid camera that sits on your screen and when you drop a jpeg into the ‘camera’ it makes a shutter noise. As the photo ‘develops’ you can quicken the process by ‘shaking’ the image.  So cute!  And FREE.

Download it here.
