Meet Me at Manhattan Inn When it gets Colder

Yay – it’s a new restaurant/cocktail lounge/jazz bar called Manhattan Inn in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, and it has all the makings of what I like: gourmet comfort food, urban vintage environs, specialized cocktails, and entree prices that hover around $13. What I don’t like: having to go all the way to the other side of McCarren Park…

The meat-centric dinner menu from former Bouley chef Justin Farmer emphasizes seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients and the space has been built almost entirely of recycled material and includes numerous creative nuances, such as repurposed doorknobs as tap handles, and school desks as dining tables.

  1. Wow, what I wouldn’t give to be living back in NYC to go to this type of place. Looks really nice. Love the bar area.
