Nerdiest Handshake For The Win!

How much do I love this nerdy-geeky handshake between Knicks teammates, Landry Fields & Jeremy Lin! I mean, they PUT AWAY THEIR READING GLASSES haha!

This is also a shout-out to Landry, who went to my high school Whoop-Whoop! And Jeremy because… he’s just a cool Asian. Whoop-Whoop!

  1. Two quick high fives on opposite hands.
  2. Landry Fields presents his hands to Jeremy Lin as though they are a book.
  3. Lin “pages” through the book.
  4. Fields closes the book.
  5. Both Lin and Fields put their hands to their eyes as though they are glasses.
  6. Both players “remove” their glasses and put them into an invisible shirt pocket.

He Prayed So Much He Made Footprints in Wood

Mr. Monk prayed 3000 times daily for 20 years which eventually wore down the floor plank with his footprints. Here’s a video to show you the proof, you non believer! (via.)

Baby Eating Chili to Dubstep

Very cool — But I’m more impressed with the fact that she uses a napkin after every bite! Btw, she is 2 years old and was born with a full-head of hair and has had 4 haircuts so far!

Exactly How it Feels To Be In/See/Hear Tokyo

Watch this if you’ve always wanted to go to Tokyo— or you have already been and want to revisit those memories.

This simple and raw video is amazing because it shows you EXACTLY how it feels to be in Tokyo. The calmness, the cleanliness, the facemasks, the autovoice in the subway, the music from giant LCD screens in Shinjuku, the crazy chaos of the early morning Tsujuki fish market, the people yelling to hand out stuff at the subway entrances, the gravel underneath your feet at the Meiji Jingu temple, the digital music video madness of Akihabara, the giggling picnics underneath the cherry blossoms…this guy’s camera kit is amazing! Demi Moore Looks/Acts/Dances Like a Teenager – I Don’t Get It!!

I love this hilarious video – can’t stop watching it. This kid gets invited to Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher‘s house to hang out – they dance (“90% of the time”) and gorge on Vita Coco (he even steals one) all the while I at home staring intently trying to find tale-tell signs that Demi Moore is actually older/slower/fuddy-duddier than these teenagers.

Dog Says “I Love You”, “Bye Bye” and “Obama”

I don’t know what my latest obsession with humanized dogs is all about but here’s just ONE MORE. This beautiful dog actually speaks! Look at those eyes!..

Giant Bubbles on the Beach Better than Movies’ Special Effects

Each giant bubble this guy creates becomes its own amazing animal – chasing the children and then disappearing whenever it feels. It’s like a friendly cousin of the black smoke monster on Lost.  How cool is it when the bubble monsters pop? It’s like slow motion ecto-cooler!

Google Celebrates 71st Anniversary of Wizard of Oz

Follow the yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road… Google’s homepage celebrates the 71st anniversary of the film, The Wizard of Oz and I am delighted by this. I reference this movie often when talking about life. How the Scarecrow and Tin man and everyone else went in search of the exact thing they already had in side of them.. you, too, already know and have everything that you need inside of you. But it’s up to you to access it.

Here’s a great song from my most favorite genre of music (easy listening from the late 70’s and early 80’s): Tin Man by America

Watch God Strike 3 Tallest Chicago Buildings in Slow-Motion

This video is AMAZING; watch the beautiful lightening performance in real time and then slowed down to 1/16 time. This makes me wonder if lightening strikes these buildings regularly and it’s no big deal?

Finally, Chatroulette for Good Clean People

I tried to ignore last month’s Chatroulette craze but glad this very viral video caught my attention. As this self-taught piano player switches in and out of the randomly-chosen chat partners, he sings and plays for them and it’s very funny and endearing.  It demonstrates a great use of a sordid and gross web portal and turns it into an improv sing-songy injection of happy. I don’t know what that last sentence is supposed to mean. My writing is kinda awful today. Enjoy.
